    Hi Everybody,

I wonder whether there is a video size limit that I can use in DVDlab pro (ver 1.53). Because I authored a dvd (one single movie, 3h35m duration, 10 chapters, one menu, one subtitle track for a double layer DVD) and when I played it (in my computer and in my dvd player as well) its subtitles disappeared after 3h20m approximately (200 minutes). I did it again 3 times more, with the same subtitle file and with another one. The result was the same. Iīve checked the temp folders out and realized that all bitmaps (for all subtitles) were generated.

I couldnīt find any references about video size limitations nor subtitles problems like this in tool site. Iīve searched in many forums (including this one) without success. So, I tried another way and used the same files in DVD Maestro. Although it is a bit different program (I had to make the menu in another program; the asset importing takes too long; the errors in the project are showed only after compilation) I got it. The DVD worked fine, without the subtitle problem.

Has anyone experienced a problem like that? Is there a video size limit? If I splitted the movie in 2 parts and imported them in dvdlab like 2 movies (linked) the result would be fine? (I didnīt try this because the movie is too large and the enconding time too long).

    Thanks,
    Cowpox.

I haven't seen this, but I don't generally author with subs, and certainly not something this long. I would suggest you try the mediachance webboards (link from mediachance website) to get the fastest response. The author of DVD Lab posts there, so you can report it directly to Oscar.
