  2. I'm not sure what the proper solution would be, but a workaround would be to render only the video with the speed change, then import that into your project.

    Hello,

You can change the speed on only a selected portion of clips.

Make sure the clips is on the timeline and split (before and after ) so as not to affect the rest of it.

Move your cursor over the right end of the clips and you will see a wiggly box and line appear.

Now start dragging the clip LONGER.

Gives the effect of slow motion however, do not do this with the audio. You will need some audio there (music , whatever)

By the way, this is found in the vegas manual

    Hope it helps....

Look up Velocity Envelopes in the help files. They will allow you to add points along the timeline and vary speed up or down, bring it to a dead stop then start it up again, or even reverse it. Add as many points as you need to do this, change the way acceleration occurs. Very powerful, and does not require splitting of the clips.

  5. Use "s" to split the video seperate from the rest of the clip (front & back). Then click & drag the end of the clip you want to slow down or speed up.

I thought it was CTRL-click and drag the ends of the clip for speed. A regular drag just changes the in-out point of the clip...

    Sorry.....

Your right, it's Ctrl + click & drag at the end of the clip.
