There is no such thing as "DVD quality" unless you're making a DVD from high quality sources.
DIVX is super-compressed and usually mediocre quality at best.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

I absolutely agree. There is really no way you will get so called DVD quality. Many tools claim ( lie ) that they will allow you to backup a DVD to a CD. It's like trying to squeeze a bull elephant into a VW. Yoou have to get rid of part of the poor elephant to make it fit. Sure, it will be recogniizable but really not the same animal.
As was said, you can get watchable backups and you can stuff 3-4 movies into a DVD/r but at a costin quality. There no way I will put up with a less than the original quality. So if I cannot backup the entire movie without any compression, I'll use DL. There are some movies that are so darn good to begin with as far as digital clarity that even moderate compression will not mar them too much. There others that even the original looks over compressed. There is no firm rule as to how they will react to compressing. It all has to do with the original source. No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!
