Anybody has one of these puppies and used them with a mac?

It has usb 2.0 only but there is supposedly some software that comes with it that will allow you to transfer the movie to your cpu and edit it into imovie

Havn't used it with a Mac and don't have one, but have run into similar problems with set-top DVD recorders and editing MPEG2 from DVD-VR discs.
The software that comes with it is Pixela Capty MPEG Edit Ex (ver. 1.3). JVC says it is for data transfer and simple cuts-only editing on the Mac.
You have a few options...
-do simple cuts with the Pixela software and author a DVD w/ Toast or DVD Studio Pro, or
-convert the MPEG2 to DV with Cinematize or DVDxDV and then edit in iMovie and burn with iDVD.
