  1. I bought Easy CD/DVD from Roxio, because I wanted to burn DVD records. But Easy will only accept m2p, while Avid Xpress DV makes m2v! Is there anyone who can give me a tip if there are work-arounds?

  3. Any suggestions on how to author a m2p file? VCDEasy doesn't recognize it.

  4. I renamed it to mpg and that seems to works just fine.

  5. Sorry for bumping up such an old thread, and I know this sounds very ridiculous...but how would I go about renaming a file? Is it under properties? I'm so clueless...thanks!

Right-click on the file and go to Rename, or left-click on the file once then press F2.

You may need to go into Windows Explorer or My Computer, and go to Tools > Folder Options > View, and make sure that the "Hide extensions for know filetypes" tickbox is unticked and press OK if you need to change the file extension. This should then make the extension of the file visible if it wasn't already.
    If in doubt, Google it.

IMO, if you don't know how to rename a file, and are nevertheless heading into the dark, misty swamp of Video Conversion Land, you've grabbed the wrong end of the stick...

Now why go and say a mean thing like that ???

Surely you know that DVDSanta & Roxio will be there to pick up the pieces for him/her when things go bad
    If in doubt, Google it.

Thanks for the help! I had to do the "hide extensions" part - I could never figure that out since nothing ever was listed in the first place. Anyway, thanks again!!!
