  1. I tried to backup a movie with dvd shrink but it wouldnt...and I have encountered the problem before to know to rip with crypter and then shrink it

so earlier I made a iso file with Decrypter and then tried to shrink it but it didnt work so I tried to write it with crypter but it said it was too big to write.......too many sectors or something

anyone know how I can get this iso compressed ? to put on a dvd.

  2. I tried regular dvd files first and it wouldnt work with anything that is why I did the iso file

  3. I would think someone would know something............dont look if you are not going to reply

You are in breach of the forum rules and are being issued with a formal warning.

  4. dvd shrink opens ISO??

Get the Video _TS file/folder,open that with dvd shrink and shrink

  5. did you not read what I said

I said dvd shrink will DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

Decrypter ripped it.............but now its too big and without dvdshrink there is no way I can compress it enuff to write with nero or decrypter

I repeat....DVD SHRINK DOES NOT WORK AT ALL WITH THIS DVD OR FILE

  6. It didn't work? Whats that mean? No need to yell.!

I would use Ultraiso to extract the contents of the iso or rerip the dvd in file mode. Then use shrink.

  8. nah won't work at all...........it gets stuck on the lil guy jumpin in the air..... won't get past the dang thing

Heh...to the earlier question - yes, DVD Shrink opens iso's. Go under file, open disc image.

Carckur, what movie are you trying to rip? Maybe a new protection scheme? Or are you able to rip it 100% in decrypter, with 0 errors??

yeah decrypter ripped it with no problems both times but shrink won't compress it.........gets stuck everytime and keeps encoding at the same position .........and its The Wedding Date haha =D

I was going to suggest something (which worked for me), but seeing as how I'm not supposed to even be looking at this topic unless I'm 100% sure I'll post, I think I'll keep it to myself.

Where did you get this DVD?

Maybe there is something out of the ordinary with this DVD. I have a purchased copy of the Chinese
" Kung Fu Hustle that will simply NOT rip at all with Shrink or Decrypter yet it's not even CSS protected and can simply be copied directly to the hard drive. But I amd trying to simply copy the movie only and I can not get Shrink or Decrypter to even analize the folder's content. The error is somthing like "improper DVD structure " though it plays perfectly well in all my players PC and otherwise
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

Try running it through Vob Blanker. Don't blank out anything, just let it rebuild all of the file structures, then try Shrink. This technique has helped me out a couple of times.

Don't be obtuse. The above seems pretty much like a bump to me. You are working your way towards a ban.

    This thread is over.
