Problems burning on 700 MB CD-RW´s

Hello all,

I have a problem burning to 700 mb cd-rw´s. I´ve got error like "scsi target error" in nero. But it´s only when I use 700 MB cd-rw´s. I´ve burned on 650 and 700 mb cd-r´s and 650 mb cd-rw and that worked perfect. I have tried to burn i very slow speed with no results. It´s a Sony CD-RW CRX140E. Please help!!

I have had a lot of problems with 700Mb CD-RW media. Espeically Memorex CDRW. The quality of this media seems to be very poor.
TDK and Verbatim seem to be the media that work OK most of the time.

In any case, you'll have to burn all sets of 700mb CD's as 640mb until you find some that you burner likes. I'm running into the same problem - brought 100 Fujifilm - can't waste resources - I guess my search will continue when I hit No. 90 or so

What I'm seeing is you cannot burn at all with some of this 80Min CDRW media. The Drive chokes on it. You can't erase it and you can't attempt to write to it.

only time I had this problem was with a bad burner, have had 3 burners due to my need for speed and have thrown any cheap disc you can think of into the HP 9100i and HiVal 12x10x32 with no problems using nero 5038, the first was the bad one, didn't work well from day, 1 month after warrenty it stopped writing, threw probably 50% of my discs away trying to write with it.

Man this sux I have an HP 9100 series and i just went and bought memorex 80min cd-rw's, and i cant use the dam things I get the same dam error. Im tryin to burn svcd's, i bought the 80 minute because most svcd's are pretty big and cant fit on the 74min and my dvd player with only reconize them dam cd-rw, so guess im screwed. I think im just goin to go pick me up a DVD Recorder that should settle all my problems..hehe
