    Hi there..
About a year ago I purchased a Dazzle DVC 120 device, but I haven't really been able to try it until recently (because I was performing my military service), and I was shocked by the bad capture quality, I feel like I've been ripped off my money!
So just to see everything clearly I have a few questions:
1- The device came with pinnacle studio 9 quickstart software, is there any other (better) compatible capture software for my device?
2- I noticed that the capture suffers from a serious interlacing problem, is there any deinterlace filter that I can use with my device?
3- The pinnacle studio 9 quickstart software only allows me to capture video at a maximum video rate of 8200 kbps, but when capturing video at that rate and when verifying the video bitrate it's always 5999 kbps!
Why? Is this the maximum bitrate the Dazzle DVC 120 supports? Or is it a software problem?
4- Whenever capturing with CBR mode the captured video always turn out to be in VBR mode! Doesn't my capture device support CBR mode?
5- If nobody have the answer to any of my questions above does anyone at least know who is the manifacturer of my device's chipset? So that I can at least find out wich software works or doesn't work with my device?
I've read the device's manual, searched the net and even looked at the device's box for answers in vain!
Any help would be much appreciated, so please guys if you know the answer to any of my questions (especilly the last one) be kind to give some of your time because my decision to sell my capture device ( witch I haven't yet used) or just throwing it away depends on it!

There is a knowledge database under support at www.pinnaclesys.com for the dazzle 120. A quick look found the following:
    Question
Does Studio use variable or fixed bit rates (VBR)?
    Answer
As of Studio version 8 a VBR (Variable Bit Rate) has been used. With VBR enabled 160 minutes of video can be burned onto a DVD.
