  1. Hi,
I hope someone has some ideas, but i hve had an LG GSA 4160B DVD Super Burner for several months now, and not had any problems really apart from the odd DAta Cylinder error or whatever, but i have noticed in the last week or so, the drive although working fine, is burning (and reading) REALLY slowly, for example when using Nero to burn a DVD, which used to take like 7 or 8 minutes, it is now taking like 45????? Although Nero still shows it as burning at 8x, also the "time Remaining" counts down to 0:00, then stays at that for like 5 minutes then updates to jowever long is left (usually 15 minutes). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drive, but no change.
    Any Ideas?????

My System:- AMD Sempron 2800+ 2.00 Ghz 352Mb RAM
    Windows XP Pro.

  2. Ok i tried changiong the setting to DMA in the advanced settings tab on Device Properties for the IDE channes, the first one reads Ultra DMA 5 on both device 0 and 1, and the second channel reads Device 0 set to DMA if available, but showing PIO, and device 1 is set to DMA if available, showing UYltra DMA 5. It now seems to rip fast again, but it still burns slowly (after resetting)?????
