CyberHome CH-DVR1600MU

I've been using the CyberHome CH DVR1600MU for about a month now.

My DVD+R dubs from Beta Tapes will play on the following DVD players:

Sony DVP-S560D
Sony DVP-NS755V
Samsung DVD-S221
KLH SVP500
Amphion MediaWorks V99

Will not play on:

Cyberhome CH-DVD520 (Brings up a screen with what appears to be the subdirectory structure of the DVD but nothing will play)

Oritron DVD4110 (Brings up a "Bad Disc" message)

Any thoughts as to why the two players fail (and in different ways) would be appreciated.

Also, does anyone know what problems are addressed by the BIOS updates for the DVR1600MU posted 6/17/05?

If you can, rerip them to a computer DVD burner that can do booktype bitsetting changes to DVD-ROM. I have used this with Nero 6.6 and the last version of DVD Decryptor and now find have no players that won't accept the discs even my Panasonic E80H which doesn't normally play +R media...
