I've got a wierd problem that has just started happening to me with DVD Workshop (2.231). Up to this point I've authored 60+ DVD with no issues by importing Mpeg clips, but I recently tried using demuxed files for large videos (3+ GB) as an Mpeg file that large seems to choke DWS.
I've encountered two separate problems.
One one video everything looks fantastic in preview - all of the chapters link correctly etc. Sound is great. When I burn the disc (or to a folder too) and play the resulting dvd I have a soundtract with the music, but all voice audio (talking) is gone or can't be heard.
On the second dvd, everything works perfect as above, but when I play the disc or folder all of the chapters go to the right spot in the video, but the audio jumps to the start of the movie.
I realize you may need more info to help my solve this and will provide what ever you need. Any advice is welcome, I'm finding this very frustrating.
Also, does anybody no why with DVD Workshop, importing a 3+ GB file makes it virtually impossible to author without the proggy crashing every 5 minutes.

Why are you demuxing the files in the first place? I just put muxed DV avi or mpeg files straight into DVDWS without problem. I also often put .avi files up to 20 GB and mpegs up to 4 GB and have never had a problem. Maybe you have a problem with your install.

I've been wondering if I should uninstall and reinstall.
I usually convert everything in TMPGENC and then bring it straight into DVDWS and have no problems, but with single files over 3 GB the program chokes. It takes forever to move to places I want to insert a chapter point (if it doesn't crash first), when I open the file it can take up to a minute to load. I found when I demux the clip that it seems to solve the problem.
If I need to unistall, do anyone happen to know where I can find complete unistall info (including registry entry info) so I can get rid of everything and start fresh?
I am running a P4, 2.6 GHz with 1 GB RAM, so I'm pretty sure that isn't the issue, but who knows. The day I figure computers out I'll be an old man
