i am trying to encode a avi file using tmpegnc, but it keeps telling me unsupported. i tried going into plug ins and moving avi to the top of the list and still the same problem.any ideas on how to fix this........

Check the avi with Gspot and make sure you have the codec installed.

Post screen shot, sounds like prolly a h264 codec problem/not installed? Install latest ffdshow, I believe ffdshow 20050803 by celtic_druid supports that codec.

i installed the ffdshow and still nothing. i installed it in my pc, do i have to install it in my tmpegnc. how does this work? any help would be greatful.

Or go into the VfW decoder config and enable whatever codec the avi uses, assuming of course that ffdshow supports decoding it.
