I am trying to rip my Doctor Who Season 1 DVDs for play on my Acer netbook, but I have encountered some strange problems.
1. Audio and video is in sync, but on playback, some episodes will start without sound, unless I move the slider into the program.
2. I have trouble ripping Season One, Episode 4's third chapter. The entire episode comes out clear as a bell, but the third chapter in the episode is pixelated like it is not being decoded properly.
I have tried multiple programs, and have had the best success with Xilisoft's DVD Ripper, due to ripping time, video screen size resolution, and overall quality. Is there a particular decoder that will work without a hitch? I currently use "ffdshow" as an all-in-one decoder and it seems to work fairly well. Should I be using something else? Thanks!
