    how please, i tried using boilsoft but its a trail version so it says trial version right across the middle of the screen! what are some other converting software i can use. thanks

    divxtodvd *might* be able to do it. Otherwise there is a version of virtualdub with asf ability (may be hard to find because of patent issues) so you could frameserve to your encoder.

    virtualdub1.3c is the last version that will open ASF/WMV. You shoulod be able to open the file in this and then frameserve to your favorite encoder.
