Can someone help me with the following problem?
When I burn a DVD on my Philips HDRW 720 then it works fine on the Philips HDRW 720 itself and also on “regular” DVD players like my Pioneer DV-444. This is valid for DVD-R and DVD-RW.
However, when I like to read the DVD on my PC there are problems. When it is a DVD-R then the computer recognizes it, plays it with a DVD player but using it with DVD Shrink there are error messages “Invalid DVD navigation structure” or “DVD Shrink encountered a problem”. The problem is bigger with DVD-RW, then a PC sometimes does not recognize the DVD (depending on the type of DVD player)

First off....your machine is a +R machine...but no biggie....we know what you mean.

What version of DVDShrink do you have? It sounds like you may have an older version since the Philips Disc problem was solved by the creator of DVDShrink several versions ago.

You need to "Protect" your +RW discs in order for them to work properly in almost everything. And you need to finalize the +R discs in order for the computer and other devices to recognize them properly.

I have an older DVDR985 machine and have no problems with compatibility with either DVD Players or DVD Burners/Roms.
I use DVDShrink and DVDDecrypter almost faithfully with my Philips created discs.

  3. I'm running Shrink 3.2 and I still have this problem with the discs from my Philips 615.
I use DVD decryptor instead, although you can only rip one VTS at a time.

What version of shrink are you using? I am using 3.2 and it never works on +RW discs created on my 985. No problem with dvdecrypter.

    Sorry...I was away on vacation:
3.2.0.15 is my DVDShrink version....works just like any normal DVD. I do protect my DVD's though before I take them to my computer.

  6. I stand corrected. I just ran a Philips recorded RW disc in DVDShrink 3.2.015 and it read it perfectly, so the latest shrink does now work on the Philips DVD file structure.
