  1. I have some dvd files, vobs, ifo, etc, and they will open and play fine in powerdvd, but won't burn to disc with either stomp recordnowmax or nero, dvdshrink can't open the files either. Nero gives me the error message "VTS_02_0.BUP should be identical to VTS_02_0.IFO" and that the dvd might be unplayable. Both files are 18kb in size, and I can't see any obvious anomalies. Does anybody know of any programs I can use to check these files, and possibly fix them?

    Thanks in advance.

i'd back up both files (the VTS_02_0.IFO & VTS_02_0.BUP) prior to doing anything.

then i would delete the BUP file, copy the IFO file to another location, rename it to to BUP and copy it back.

try burning with recordnow, nero or dvd shrink again.. see if it works.. if not, try this..

use imgtool classic, point it to the folder containing the audio & video ts folders, create an iso image.. and burn that iso image with dvd decrypter.

IFOEdit will allow you to check what is in the IFO file but not BUP. Easiest way around this would be to copy VTS_02_0.IFO to another folder change it to VTS_02_0.BUP and bring it back to the original folder to over write the first one this will create the correct files.
IFOEdit will offer to back up both files if you open the IFO in question and then save it, the BUP file will be updated as well.
