    I burn Svcd's for a lot of my friends. When i found out about svcd2dvd i got excited. It converted my vcd's to dvd quickly and it only used 1 disc.

    Well, i'm having all sorts of problems. One friends dvd player plays them fine, except they're all in black and white. A couple more's won't even read the dvd. My Player plays them perfect, which makes me wonder what's goin on. I've backed up some of my friends original dvd's on the same Sony Dvd+R media and they work fine. It's just the converted dvd that's giving me problems

    any suggestions?? thanks

    black & white is usually a PAL/NTSC issue. I.e the dvd may be NTSC but the DVD/TV combination your friend has can't play it properly.
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    I have my S2D to always convert from Pal to Ntsc. In fact S2D is the only program which does the conversion and worked on my 2 players,.

    Some players will not play DVD+r, just DVD-r which may be part of your problem.

    Also try a dvd head cleaner.
