I have a problem with the Pioneer DV-440 cutting off the edges of VCDs. It doesn't cut off much, but if there is text, it can be a little annoying. I've simply been burning ANIVCD encodings of various tv shows using Nero. I've set everything to NTSC, so I don't know what the heck's going on. Anyone got an explanation?
ps - this doesn't seem to be a problem with DVDs

I have a similar problem with my pioneer dv-333
When it does it, it cuts the left side off and sometimes put's it on the right side.
I have contacted pioneer and I am waiting for a reply

I saw a VCD that had a similar defect: the image shifted left with a black vertical bar at the right side. But because I saw the VCD on a PC I have no doubt that it is the VCD which was bad. DVD's are better mastered, I guess.
