Download DVD Decrypter v3.5.4 and DVD Shrink.

There are plenty of guides for these applications on this site.

They are the BEST and are FREE, hope this helps.

This sounds like a fault with the type of media you are using, try a different media

Skipping, pausing and freezing are common media problems with that type of media and your DVD player

Also the burning software CAN make a difference, since changing from using Nero 6.xx for burning I've had no problems at all, before it was a constant problem. I even had another brand of DVD player refuse to recognize a DVD that played perfectly in another DVD player. Changed from Nero to DVD Decrypter as my burning software, all my problems disapperaed and the discs would play in any player

So, now I won't touch Nero for burning DVD movie/episode discs, Nero is great at data burning, but rubbish at video burning

This is MY personal choice through trial and error, others say Nero is perfect, all down to personal choice. What works for you, might not work for somebody else

If you gonna use Nero for anything burning wise (except ISO's) and especially for DVD's do NOT use anything above version 5.5
The number of times i saw people upgrade NEro because a newer version was available and then revert back to 5 or 5.5 is quite high.
(i have version 5.5.10.12 Plextor, and have no intention of ever upgrading)

Use a proper dedicated tool for burning (like Decrypter)

What they mean is that they need more information as to what you are doing and what you are using.

Imitation is your media. (and is not the best either)

But they are also after what programs you are using and how you are using them.

PS. if your PC details are right and you only have 224 Mb Ram, then you may have problems if ANYTHING else is running in the background. I now have 1Gb RAM and am happy running other apps as well as Decrypter, but when i had only 512Mb i could only safely get burns when i had nothing else running.

If using DVDShrink beforehand, output to an ISO file. You can then burn "manually" using DVDDecrypter using (this guide, or you can tell DVDShrink to automatically burn with DVDDecrypter once it's finished creating the ISO file.

Personally I've only ever had 1 problem with Nero, and that was that version 6.0.0.15 kept crapping out on my system. Apart from that little hiccup (which I fixed by rolling back the installation to version 6.0.0.11), I've never had any other problems with it.
    If in doubt, Google it.
