I am trying to disassemble my NEC ND-2500A dvd writer so that I can clean the lense as it is having problems reading some disks. However I cannot seem to figure out how the thing comes apart. I've unscrewed the bottom metal plate but I cannot seem to get the front panel off as it seems like somethig is holding it in firmly. Also the circuit board doesn't seem to want to lift off and therefore I can't get to the laser. I was wondering if anyone had experience disassembling this particular drive and could help me?
Many thanks.

Drive needs to be ejected. You can either slide off (upward) the tray cover or just leave it ejected and float the bezel on the tray.
It'll make sense when you eject the tray. -
It isn't necessary to pull the drive apart to clean the lens.
A MUCH better option is to buy a lens cleaning disc. It has brushes mounted on the disc which removes all dust from the lens, takes about 20 seconds to run.
