    Hello,

I have a dvd that was created from a college video. The audio on the tape is horrid. I was wondering if there is any way to edit the existing sound to enhance or change it for the better. If possible, What program would I use to do this? Thank you for your time.

Can you give a more descriptive explanation than simply "horrid"? What is the audio content music or speech or a mixture of both? How was it recorded etc. Is the original sound overloaded ie distorted?
If you could post a 30 second sample that could help.

There are many programs with audio plug in filters like, equalisers, high and low pass filters and harmonic exciters.
Adobe Audition or Goldwave are just a couple of programs.

There is also the freeware audio editor Audacity. It has quite a few filters.
