I did a Google search for 'Director Player 6.0' and this was at the top of the list: http://www.mindscape.co.uk/techsupport/SolveProblem.asp?page=5&cid=0&pid=0

    Apparently it's a common problem.

Seems a little strange, though. Virtual memory is usually automatically set by the OS. (It's a temporary file on your HD) My laptop is set at 336MB. (With 256MB RAM.)

Unless you were very low on harddrive space or VM was switched off, I don't know why you would get this error.

Glad you got it fixed. It really wasn't that much trouble. I was curious about what Director Player was and when I did a search in Google, that was the first link that came up.

I was wondering why you had your virtual memory turned off or set so low. Of course with the amount of RAM you have, it's not normally needed. Apparently some applications need it no matter how much RAM is available. Maybe they store info there, but it would be lost when rebooting.
