I know, it's a Sony , but i have one DVD with a not so legal copy of the Incredibles which pauses for about 1 second at every chapter change. I have lot's of other DVDR's which don't.

I tried reburning to a DVD-RW to no avail. I tried recoding the entire DVD with Nero Recode (made the bitrate go from 2.11 to 3.5 Mbps) with no change. One DVD that plays well has a bitrate of 5 Mbps, all other properties are the same (framesize, fps, etc).

The same DVD plays well on a Finlux DVD510 (low budget) player.
The same DVD plays well in Power DVD

So, i know that it's player related AND movie related. So i was wondering if recoding or re-authoring the movie would do any good, but where to start?

    Thanks in advance.

The best place to start would be by purchasing a legitimate copy of The Incredibles. This will service two ends - a copy of the movie that plays correctly and looks good, and you won't get banned for breaking the rules of the site - no discussion of pirate movies.

Oops, , ok, didn't mean to break the rules, maybe should have said 'personal copy for backup reasons'
