  1. Hi i just burned a dvd using the compile dvd feature in dvd lab pro. When i put in the disc it didnt burn anything. However i started to think that maybe i still have to burn it. So i went to my output folder and i saw that it has audio_ts and video_ts. However, when i open the audio_ts folder nothing is in there. I know that something has to be in there but i dont know what went wrong. Will someone tell me what happened?

    program used: dvd lab pro
    Dvd: pal setting
note these were from another question but i think they relate here

    are these settings correct?

Also will this affect my dvd? as in will the dvd still play?

also what do i do with the stuff in my temporary folder? the titles etc..

The audio folder will always be empty. If you want to burn directly from dvdlab then you need to check the box auto start recording...although I wouldn't recommend it. I always author to the hard drive then i check the final output by playing it in a software player ( i use media player classic but if you have power dvd it would be better ). Once you are sure that everything is okay then you can burn the disc using something like nero. If you don't have nero and would like to use freeware then download imgtools classic to create an iso image then burn that with dvd decrypter.

Right nothing in the audio folder. As far as checking if the dvd will work do like i said before play it on the hard drive using a software player (before burning). If it plays from the hard drive fine before burning then it should play just fine on a stand a lone dvdplayer after burning.

Not sure about that. Try playing it in a different software player and see if it works. If you have a pal capable dvd player (i have a cheap norcent bought from wal-mart that can) or know someone who does then burn a dvdrw and see how it plays.

  6. hi sorry again to ask you another question but what do i do about the stuff in my folder that i sent the titles to?
for example the stuff with the my titles and buttons and scene selection. To where do i put that when i burn the dvd? in the audio ts folder or video ts? or is there another place to put that is not in audio or video?

One extra little observation to throw into the mix. Your profile says you are in the USA, so why are you using PAL? PAL is used in Europe, the US uses NTSC.

nothing personal, but i really believe you need to do more reading on the subject. You don't seem to have even the most basic of knowledge on the subject

Reboot has written some really great guides for using dvdlab. Look in the guides section and search by author reboot. It will tell you pretty much all you need to know.

    Have fun!

  10. dear richard g, the reason i am using pal is because im making this dvd for my cousin who lives in asia. ANd there they use pal so that's the reason.

And dear rick im sorry if i dont sound like im a genius at this but that is why im posting in the newb section.

I just wanted to know where i put my titles etc... i believe its the video ts folder. i read through some stuff and all they say is how to compile they dont go the extra step in how to burn. But now since my computer is not working for no apparent reason i would just like to know where the titles go because im very frustrated. First my computer doesnt work after installing nero and now all my hard work is gone to waste cause all my video files are gone. SO i would very much appreciate it if you wuld just tell me where the titles go and not point me to other faqs. Im very glad that you have helped me so far but all i need is this last step and then all my questions will be done.

    thanks again...especially freebird!

All you put in the video ts folder in nero is the files from your "E:\My Videos\dvd_video" folder. When you compile your dvd it takes all your title, buttons , and everything else and puts them all together into the ifo and vob files. Just choose dvdvideo in nero and burn away.
