I am not sure if this is the right forum, this is urgent and I need your help. I am trying to record short movies on my digital camera. The digital camera records in quicktime or avi mode. After I upload it to the computer, can I copy the movie to dvd to watch on a dvd player? Which program can I use? I have nero and windows movie maker.

I'm trying to use the digital camera for now until I get a digital camcorder. My last digital camcorder gave up on me and I lost all the footage of my baby boy for the past 2+ months . Now I'm trying to make do with the camera till I get the camcorder.

Any helpful suggestions will be appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. Encode the avi files to mpeg2(DVD Standard) using TMPGEnc Plus,CCE or Mainconcept MPEG Encoder, first.
Then load into TMPGEnc DVD Author and make a menu and chapters.Output to DVD Video Files and then burn with Nero Burning ROM.
You could edit the mpeg2's before authoring if you wish using MVW or VideoRedo.
There are free software alternatives to the ones I have mentioned but I've never used them because most are crap, but if you dont want to pay look around the site in the tools section and test them out.

Sorry I dont use Nero Vision Express,so I cant give you any instructions on how to do it.
The reason I dont use NVE is because it always crashes and gives random errors"Nero Vision Express has encountered a problem and needs to close"and thats after spending time getting everything how I want it.It totally wasted my time so I quit using it.
