Controling case fan speeds?

Is there a way to crank up the speed on a fan. It seems that of the 3 fans running, the only fan not marked in red (As in too low RPM) is the CPU fan...but even the CPU is hot.

How do I get things to speed up...or can I? I tried looking in BIOS but found nothing.

If the motherboard isn't controlling the fan speeds, then they either have an internal thermal controller or no controller at all. What RPMs are they running at?

If they have an internal controller there's not much you can do. Your case fans may just be a type that runs at a speed lower than the MB thinks is proper. If they have an internal controller, the speed would change as the case heat changes. You might check for that effect.

Other than that, if the internal case temp is too high, get different fans.

When I start up my PC it shows 2 fans in red in the boot up. Also, my CPU temp since 2 weeks ago has started higher. It was averaging 45C...but with summer it's now 55C.

Here's what the fans are spinning at.

That app above looks specific to Epox Mobos. You can use Motherboard Monitor , CoolMon, Samurize to do the same thing. Samurize has been getting an enthusiastic user community -- http://www.samurize.com/modules/news/

Hi,

Does anyone have the *exact* zip file name of that
tool ??

I'm getting bounce around in Opera, and the download is just
not happening, even when the SaveAs box w/ the 1.3MB file pops up.
Very strange. (I hate going to those website w/ all those tickers
and ads and java what-have-you things because I know they are
tracking and stalking me every visit. And that pisses me off.

I will google search the zip file, once I have the name.

Those fan speeds all seem on the low side. One of the case fans on my AMD 2200+, Asus A7N8X-E box is running 2909RPM, The CPU fan is 4272RPM. The CPU cooler is a Vantec AeroFlo. The case fans are generic 80mm fans.

Case temp is 71F(22C) and CPU 104F(40C) @ ~20% CPU usage. Goes up a little with encoding. It's also OCed about 18%.

If you have low noise fans or 120mm case fans that might explain it. Same with the CPU fan. I don't believe that MB has case fan RPM controllers, though the fans might have built in ones.

I would also double check those temps and fan speeds in BIOS when you boot up to see how they compare. The CPU temp will go up and down fairly rapidly, but you might see something there. If those CPU temps approach 60C you should probably think about upgrading the cooling.
