cable tv and windvd creator problem , copyrights

Hello I may be in the wrong topics, but that is why I posted in the newbie sction. I am using win dvd creator and have recorded a program, on a spicific channal. some channals allow me to record, and some do not, I was told to ypass the box and hook up after the vcr. theprogram opens and says the file contains copyright and cannot be opened by win dvd creator.
Any suggestions
besides coping it to a vcr tape and then to the dvd creator?

Have you tried using something else to open it? TMPGEnc DVD Author has a free trial.

What is your tuner-capture card? I've never seen this type of conflict before.
Another way is to connect your cable box: S-Video or composite connector plus audio to your capture card. The quality will be better that way as well.
