    Hopefully this problem will be easily solved, being a newbie to SVCD2DVD.
    My problem is this:
    Have been trying to convert some children's DVDs to SVCD format to reduce size and then using SVCD2DVD convert them back to a DVD format so they will play easily in DVD player.
    No problem converting from DVD to SVCD. Used latest version of DVD2SVCD. This results in a 607MB file that plays for about 1h34m (ie length of the movie). Format is 480x576; 25 frames/s;aspect 4:3; bitrate 2530K.
    When I transcode this file and package it using SVCD2DVD 1.5, the .vob is still 607MB but only plays for 22min.
    Anybody know what the problem is??
    Thanks in advance.

    I would have to see your log file to comment. I would however suggest v2 as it is more robust.
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    Interesting.
    When I tried v2. Processing stops at 25.1%...and refuses to complete the process.

    How can an hour and half SVCD clip resulted with only 607MB?

    Can't tell you exactly...
    Original files from DVD are about 4-5Gb. I transcoded them with DVD2SVCD v1.2.2b3. The extracted .mpg file is 607Mb. The file plays fine in winDVD and has a length of 1h34m

    Problems from home.
    Will try from work.
    Have looked at the mpg again. Might be some glitches, which in my experience with DVD2SVCD is unusual. Original vob's look OK. Will send mpg anyway

    Upgraded D2SRoBa from v3.6 to v3.78 and re-trancoded the mpg file. Seems to have solved the problem. No problems with subsequent conversion using SVCD2DVD. Looks like "Faithful Follower" was right; the 607Mb file was to small the new file is 1.6Gb.
    Cheers
