WinDVD Recorder Question

Hello all, i have a winfast capture card and reading throught the faq's came across using windvd recorder gave good results so decided to give it a go, i uninstalled my winfast PVR then installed windvd recorder, alls good so far, my problem is under profile they are all DVD NTSC im capturing video and im in PAL where do i get the PAL profiles

You probably need to pick Australia as the country for your tuner, I imagine the default is the US (NTSC).
I am considering the same thing as I have found out my Winfast PVR mpegs are crap and am about to try the WinDVR demo.

Futher thought:
I am wondering whether it's better to keep my Leadtek Winfast TV 2000 Xp Expert card and buy WinDVR ($110 AUS), if it works well.
or
Sell Leadtek to someone, buy a hardware encoding card ($150 + AUS) and use freeware like GB-PVR.

sham69, i tried to change it to AUS but no joy, i uninstalled it then reinstalled it and still cant get PAL, in the setup screen it has
Intervideo windvd recorder setup enlglish (US) so maybe it cant be changed
if you download it its 30 meg i'd like to know how you got on, as for the capture card ?
sorry but im not up on whats available and whats a good choice for the money you want to spend.

Mine ask's what I am , default is set to nstc , but I choose pal before install finishes .

For others , you need to check , I think it was one of the buttons in the bottom half of the program has the project settings in it , where you can change to pal .

Just cant recall where it was exactly right now , unistalled after card geforce4 fx5200 bellied up after 6 months , windvd came with card .

Installed the demo, but can't get it to tune any channels!
I saw that a different driver for WinDVR is recommended for the Winfast TV 2000 on the Leadtek site, so I'll try that........

I use windvr and im using the ati tv wonder pro to capture. I don't know if this will help, but if you open windvr, then right click the screen, go to setup, then click on the record tab...go down and click "customized". that little white window should open and you can choose from ntsc and pal settings. I hope that helps.
