  1. I have a Sony PC330 camcorder. I would like the date/time stamp to appear on the video that I take. I am not able to set it on the camcorder. It could be some simple setting but I am not able to get it. Is there any way to get the date/time on the footage?

I have already shot few hours of Video (4 tapes). Transferred them to hard disk and made a DVD also? Is there anyway to put the date/time on this while editing?

    Thanks

    Hi Vishwa,

There are several softwares that can display the date stamp in the DV file. I use a DV date Premiere plug-in developed by a Russian guy. Here is my post.

Some cameras have a setting that will print the timestamp on the video as it plays back, allowing you to capture it, as opposed to the normal overlay method.

  6. Hi guns1inger,

Thats what I was hoping for. But my camera doesn't seem to have it or I am not able set it .

  7. First I transfer video from my digital cam to pc with date for each clip.
Then I use Vegas for edit and encode to mp2 (Use whatever software you have)

Lastly, I use Vegas DVD for adding date/time as subtitle. Yes, all little manual job, not as quick as dvstamp software but the date/time will only show when I want.

    Good luck.
