    I'm getting a read i/o error when I try to rip dvd's with decrypter it starts out going about 2x and then slows down to 0x and then gives me the i/o error. This happens at different parts of the dvd. Can this be my burner?

    be sure to use latest dvd decrypter.
    try clean the dvd.
    try with a different dvd reader.
    you could select to ignore read errors in dvd decrypter.
