  1. Hi, I'm having problems viewing my DVDRW disc on my DVD player. When I put it int the DVD player to watch it, it would from time to time pause and then 5-10 secs later continue again. I had converted some avi files to dvd. Thinking that it was a problem with the source of the avi files I decided to try to backup a DVD movie that I had and the same problem occurred. It would be ok if it only paused 2-4 times throughout the whole movie, but its a lot worse than that. I'm using Ritek 4x DVD+RW. I also have Ritek 8x DVD+R and it plays on the DVD with no problems. I use the DVD+RW so that I can watch the avi files on the TV instead of on the computer. Thanks for any hel.

Some players just don't like RW discs....and some are even "brand picky". There are no guarantees in this game I'm afraid.

  3. Damn. Is there a listing of DVD players that or picky or won't work at all? Not sure but I found this link https://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers.php?DVDname=k740&Submit=Search&Search=Search&chips...y=Name&hits=25. Does it mean that my dvdplayer can play DVD+RW since its bolded?

The reviews don't look very favorable for your player do they? One guy called it a "boat anchor" and the other mentioned it would not play Ritek discs when every other machine he tried them in played them perfectly.

I've been VERY lucky in my choices for DVD Players. I bought them WAY before I had a DVD Recorder or a DVD Burner and they seem to swallow up every disc thrown at them....especially my old JVC one back home in the U.S. - anything I send to my folks back home....even a PAL on a cheapo Princo plays well in that thing.
