  1. I had a question. I use my Sharp digital camcorder to convert my analog tapes to digital and capture onto my computer, however sometimes I get choppiness in the clips, although it doesn't say I dropped any frames. I'm not sure if its the tapes or if my camera doesn't do the best job converting. Will other pieces of equipment such as ADS AV Link do a better job at this? Thanks.

    The ADS unit is highly regarded. "Stuttering" in your editing app is NOT unusual. Try playing back your video clips to the DVcam and see if they are smooth there. You could also connect a video monitor to the DVcam to see how it looks on TV.

    Nor is it unsual to see it during capture... capture a short clip, just enough so you see the stuttering then convert it DVD compliant mpeg and burn it to disc.
