I have a strange request. I need to find a new DVD player for my church. I need to be able to disable the on screen display (so that, for instance, when I hit pause it doesn't show pause on screen). This unit will also double as a CD player and I need something that won't skip/pause in between tracks. We play lots of cd's that have one song split into many tracks, and if the player puts a gap in between then we have a problem. Many cheaper units i've used had this problem. The Sony player we currently have works fine though.
Reliable CD-R, DVD-R and DVD+RW playback is required.
Any suggestions? These aren't specs they normally list...

You may want to take a disc with you up to the store and try them out for yourself. All of the players that I have used, display the commands on the screen, but there could be a menu option to disable that.

Your computer does that already does it?? Control it with the mouse.

What does his computer and mouse have to do with anything? He asked about a standalone player.
