I have a Media Center PC with 2 TV tuner cards and a GeForce FX5600 video card. The PC is running MCE 2005. I currently have two coax cables going to the TV tuners (one for each card and the signal is basic cable). I have digital cable with DVR in the "other" room. There is a show saved on my DVR that I want to burn to DVD. Can I simply hook up the coax cable from the DVR to one of my 2 TV tuner cards and then play the concert on the DVR, saving it to my PC with some program and then burn it to DVD?

What software do I need to do this? AND...is it even possible?

You could do it that way, pretending the DVR is a broadcaster.

Better capture quality can be attained by capturing over S-Video and audio connections instead. "other room" may be a problem since S-Video cable length should be kept resonable, say 20ft. Any basic video editing/DVD authoring package can be used.

That's why I mentioned coax cable (I don't have the s-video cable long enough to reach from the other room).

But what software do I use to capture it to the hard drive? Since it's already recorded on the DVR, I can't use the MCE 2005 Media Center. I have several software packages (MyDVD, Nero, Roxio). Would one of them work? And, if so, how do I tell it to recognize the signal coming in through the USB and write it to an MPeg or something?
