I am very new and still struggling to learn this application. I believe my biggest problem at this point is understanding the menu system on the left, and how to add chapters. If someone can get me started with adding chapters and explaining the menus, I'd appreciate it.
P.S. How do you add graphics to these postings?

Gee hows about reading the manual that came with your software or clicking on the help file? A little reading and effort on your part is essential. Don't mean to sound rude, but it amazes me when someone makes a post such as yours. Did you purchase your software? If you did then what you want to do should be no problem. If I had spent that much money I would sure be spending the time to learn it.

jdizzy40,
Sadly your posting is rude. Let me give you a manual to get you started with Java Script programming. Opinions like yours do no one any good. Next time you feel an opinion coming on, keep it to yourself so the world can stay a happy place.
Have a nice weekend! -
To post a picture....
1. Hit the Browse button (just about the Prview / Submit)
2. Select the JPEC file that you intend to post. Filename must not have blank.
3. Move the cursor to the place you intend to place the picture and click Img button (just below the Subject). Type in the filename. Click Img* at the same location. -
Hi
Can help you with inserting chapters but i'm no good on menu creation. Once inserted correct media, just go to the 'clapperboard' with the cross in it-this will insert chapters. So click on the timeline of the movie and then click the clapperboard. Keep doing that until you have the required no. of chapters. -
Hi. You can see how to configure a menu here...

Inserting chapters is not a difficult taskk DVDA has a timeline. All you've got to do is insert markers for chapters.
DVDA has 3 main screens. First one, on the left, is to help you make your menu, the other one in the middle is the preview and the last one on the right is for configuring many options for each of the media that is added on the left screen (menu).
There, on this right screen, you can set end actions for each media, but there's something you must know. DVDA has end actions that work perfectly as you let the DVD run bu itself, but these end actions will not work for the "Next" button on your RC unit. This button plays the next media on the same sequence you author your DVD and not according to what you have configured as end actions. Don't know if this can be considered a drawback but some people find this annoying (I don't).
Motion menus can be edited and rendered in Vegas or any other NLE. It is up to your imagination.
