I have been making DVDs using an ATI 550 pro capture card from my laserdiscs for two weeks now, and they always worked just fine. Today I tried to play one of them on my computer for quality control checking, and low and behold, i cannot get the audio to work on them. if i play a normal DVD-rom or DVD video disc from the store, it plays back fine. windows even plays Mp3 files just fine.. ive seemed to narrow it down to only DVD mpeg layer 2 audio when coupled with DVD video that doesnt plaback, for some odd reason. It was working last week, and the only changes Ive made since then are updating the firmware on my DVD burner so that riplock is removed, but im not even using the DVD burner to playback DVDs with, so i dont see how that couldve caused it. The DVDs in question with the MPEG layer 2 audio playback just fine on a standalone DVD player on the TV, in fact I have tested it in several different brands of DVD players, and they all playback fine, it is just on MY computer that they do not. it plays back fine on my wife's computer.
any suggestions?

A penny saved is a waste of time. One in the hand is only worth 0.5 in the bush. A stitch in time saves nothing.
