I want to capture some shows from my digital cable box to my computer in another room.
If I get good quality cables, what is a realistic limit to the length of the cable? I would use the RCA type connectors for video and audio.

    Thanks

you can run Belden 8281 a 100' , but with above average cables, about 25-30 feet is fine ..

Thank you but the cable box is going to be all neat and tidy in the living room, would be a hassle to disconnect.
Sounds like 30' would be no problem then.... hmmm, I just checked prices on good cables, might be an idea just to buy an extra digital cable box...

Yes, good/great cables are very expensive. Getting the cable as close to your PC is better video and $$$ wise.
