Any alternatives to Asus Home Theatre?

Hi, there,
I´ve purchased an Asus capture card about a years ago to get my old VHS tapes onto my hardrive before they degrade.
TV FM card 2.3.4.1

It worked alright at times, but recently I had to do a complete system revamp.
I reinstalled the TV card back again, the drivers, but when I installed the Asus Home Theatre program, it won´t allow me to select cable in the TV source signal.
It doesn´t detect the cable channels like it used to or even (more important!) the VCR.
Is there any alternative to this program out there?

I´ve never really liked it since the interface is so slow in uodating......
