Not really feedback but an observation that I apparently missed. Just curious when and why Off-Topic was moved to were you have to login to see it? I was wondering what had happened to some of the old-timers that, I guess, spend most of their time in off-topic. It goes to show you how observant I am.

Apparently things got out of control and changes were made. It's a long story............

About 8-10 month ago.
OT was full of lots of things many guests may find inappropriate, but registration was required to view. It was a good change.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Many oldtimers moved to one
or more of the following sites.
http://www.politick.org.uk
http://convopit.net
http://guide-zone.com/forums/index.php -
I think that the reasons given above were more like the final straw, but it was actually a very logical choice, regardless. This site is all about video and such, so gleaning information from the forum never really required participation. On the other hand, OT has little to nothing to do with the purpose of the site, so having to log in basically shows that you're really interested in something other than video.

Oh yeah ... it keeps non-video crap off the google searches. At one point in time, a certain distasteful topic was #1 on the google search when looking up that term. Not good.
