  1. ive used mtr successfully many times in the past. recently ive been getting warnings when rip is finished that there are bad sectors and it may not play back properly, and to check before burning. i use popcorn to burn and when i try to play the disc back i get the fbi warning then just a black screen. Im not totally sure but i think these may all be region 1 rips. what can i do?

If you are getting a bad sector message, you are probably
using an earlier version of MTR.

Upgrade to Mac The Ripper 2.66 and buy DVD2OneX 1.42.
And, btw, welcome to ArrCCoss encryption.

for more info STF for "terryj, ArrCCoss, ronin".

  3. am already using mtr 2.6.6. which says in the manuel that it will switch to arccos mode automatically if needed, although with the movies i tried using arccos mode anyway and still got the same message. the movies im referring to are napoleon dynamite and bubba hotep which are both ntsc region 1. i dont know if this is coincidence as these are also the 2 newest dvds i own also. could there be something other than arccos we dont know about?

I own Bubba Ho-Tep and I can rip it just fine with MTR.
Don't have napolean,so I can't comment. Bubba is not an
    ArrCCoss release.

Most is PC related info, but you should be aware of:

Bad Media--Try another set of DVD-Rs
Problems with Subtitles--Try ripping in Movie Only Mode
Problems with the Hard Drive they are being ripped to/burned from.
