  1. Hello,
    what I am making bad to pass of a VHS Video to the PC throught of the dcr-hc30 I do not comment to you:
    I have connected the Video to the Video camara by RCA from a euroconector of the Video.
    and the Camara Video to the Computer by Firewire.
    - the capture by firewire Works - If I connect the Video to the analogica capturadora, confirms that this emitendo by eurconecto+rca -
    I have assets in menu of camara opcuion A/v->dv and in Input Video:
    Video (I also tested by s-video) - I do not introduce any mention in camara - I put it in way to play But nor in videocamara the signal of the analogico video is seen, and clear it does not arrive either at the computer. Somebody has some idea, that I am making bad? Thank you very much.

    Let me see if I have this straight

    1. You are trying to captute VHS through your DV camera analogue pass through
    2. You have connected the VHS scart (Euro) connecter to the camera's analogue inputs
    3. You have connected the camera to the PC via firewire
    4. You can see the video from the VHS in the camera, but not on the PC

    What software are you using on the PC to transfer the DV footage ? You have to disable the software trying to control the camera and just let it feed through. How you do this depends on what software you are using.

    You can not use a europeon camcorder for pass through. It has some copy protection built in. It is some kind of europeon customs limitations where a camcorder can not be used as a vcr. There is some kind of work around out there on the internet but I have no idea where it is at.

  4. thank you very much

    Solved the problem. it was that the options of camara must be:

    [DISPLAY] = [LCD PANEL]

    and when having changed it send by same input signal RCA
