So if anyone has used DVDCopy to successfully compress a video into DivX, could you tell me how you did it? Everytime I try to use the "File to DVD" function to convert video into DivX, the whole program crashes after about a second. Intervideo has zero tech support (they might actually have negative tech support) so I have no idea why it does this - it looks like a bug in the program, as I've tried it on 2 machiens with the same results, but they don't make any mention of it anywhere, and there's been no attempt to correct it that I've seen anywhere. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

file to dvd sounds like divx to dvd and not dvd to divx.
use autogk or fairuse wizard for dvd to divx. -
You select a source video file, and can save it as:
4.7G DVD
8.5G DVD
VCD
SVCD DivX
WMV
The other options work fine, DivX crashes every time.
I'm not trying to convert a DVD to DivX, I'm trying to convert a video file, say an MPEG, to DivX. I know there's a million other applications that will do this, but I was trying to do it with this one, and need some help getting
it to work.
