  1. Ok, I tried to backup some Cartoons for my daughter so she wont wear out the originals.

I only want to backup the main movie with 1 sountrack (Swedish)
and want it to play in my standalone Pioneer DV-737.

So I managed to reauthor a DVD, backing it up to harddrive using DVD Shrink
Made ISO with File2Iso, and burned the Image to DVD-R with DVD Decrypter
and they play without problems on my computer with Power DVD,
but my standalone DVD player refuses to find track 1 and never stops searching.

I'm rather new at this but read as many guides and FAQ I could and don't see an answer to my problem.

I've tried 2 different medias (TDK +rw, Platinum -r), 2 different movies (Ice Age, Lion King) nothing plays. I've played -r before and they worked.

Hope anyone can help me solve this problem before my daughter destroys what animated DVD's is left.

  2. When you backed up to the hard drive with DVDshrink did it create a VIDEO_TS folder or just give you a bunch of files.

If your backup does not contain a VIDEO_TS folder the dvd player may refuse to play it because most dvd players need to see this folder in order to play, however they will play on the PC.

If your using the latest version of DVDshrink which is ver 3.2 then you can opt to create an Iso image and burn with DVDdecrypter in the backup selection window rather than using File2Iso.

This is the process I use and it has never failed me.

I would recommend giving this a try first and if your still having problems PM me and I can give you further help.

  3. That did it.
    Thanks a lot!

Making an ISO from DVD Shrink and then burning with DVD Decrypter did the trick.

The catalogs earlier did contain VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders but I didn't get that option to work.

  4. Glad to see that solved it for you.

In future if you want to create an ISO image other than with DVDshrink I would recommend using ImgTool Classic 0.91.5, find it here,
