    I to everyone,
I'm getting mad on converting back a DVD to MPG.
I have a NON-protected DVD (home made DVD) and I need the video in MPG format to use in Premiere to edit and filter.

I have tried to simply rename the VOB files to MPG but reading it with Windows media player it displays a duration time of 7 seconds (the actual duration time is some minutes), it starts playing the video but after some seconds it freezes.
If I try to import the mpg file in premiere (v. 7.0 - pro), it says "file with audio frequency not supported" and doesn't import it.

So I've searched in this forum and I've found the well-explained topic here
    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=224833
I've tried converting the vob files using both 'TMPGEnc DVD Author' and 'DVD Decrypter', but the result is the same I obtnained simply renaming the vob file to ".mpg".... It freezes in WMPlayer and is not imported in Premiere beacause "file with audio frequency not supported".

I don't know what else do!!!! I'm not so expert in video-editing & conversion....

Thanks in advance for any help or idea!!!

PS: Sorry for my bad english...

Load the VOBs in ReJig. You can add all VOBs, then demux m2v and audio as one file each.

I've tried demuxing the streams but the m2v file gives me the same problem in Premiere ("file with audio frequency not supported" - I don't know why, the m2v file is only video!!!)

I've found a strange solution: if I make a DVD backup with rejig and then rename the VOB file in mpg it doesn't still open in premiere but it plays in WMPlayer! Now I'm trying to convert the mpg to WMV format (using Windows Media Encoder).

But an answer: Is it possible that Premiere doesn't recognize the format because is necessary an AC3 plugin?

    Thank again in advance....
