    Hi,
I've done it sevaral times. Use vob2mpg to convert .vob file to .mpg & made dvd movie with GFD. But, I m facing problems this time.
Suppose a movie has 2 .vob files - VTS_05_01.VOB & VTS_05_02.VOB. So, when I import them & try to convert, then the soft converting without any problem, but it's catching the 2nd file 1st (VTS_05_02.VOB) & joining 1st file at the last !!!

Why this is caching the 2vde file 1st? How I can fix it?

Can you post your log file? Which version are you using?
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

I have a similar problem that I ran into while trying to help in this thread https://forum.videohelp.com/topic365187.html#1946410. I thought it might be specific to the DVD I was working with. I did find that if I removed the .ifos and .bups from the folder it would assemble the .vobs in order, but also includes stuff that would have been bypassed by following the .ifo. I don't know if this helps much, but at least you have confirmation that it's happened to someone else...

Edit: my version is v2.5 downloaded on 3/9/09

v2.5 doesn't use the IFO files... I would still like to see a log from v2.5 to comment properly. In the meantime try v3 which does use the IFO files.

Intersting the order of the directory listing is not by file name, as it should be... Looks like the order needs to be forced. I will make a change to do this.

I see what you mean. And when I check the video, that is the order it assembled it in. Sorry, akakiami, I didn't mean to hijack your thread, but it looks like the solution to your problem as well.

I ran it on the same DVD and it compiled the main movie in the correct order, albeit considerably slower.

    Edit: here's the logfile:

    Hi All,
It's very good to see all of the post.
    I m using v2.5 .
I also used V3 (NOT Pro) yesterday, 1st selecting the IFO file, but nothing happaned after selecting the IFO file!!!
Then change the settings to .VOB, It's converted to mpg, but attaching files in wrong order like V2.5!!!

Well, then return v2.5, convert 1 by 1. I mean 1st convert first VOB file & then 2nd one in the same folder. bothh are attched in right order. So, problem temporerily solved.

Any way, here is my previous log file in V2.5.

But, I need to know why it's attaching in wrong order?

I already uninstall V3 & also kick out the all log files of v3. So I've to make this conversion again.

    I'll try to submit tomorrow.

It was in ifomode. (I posted the log to my earlier post). I ran it again this morning in vobmode and it assembled the main movie correctly.

    Right see it now. Sorry.

Anyway it was the VOB mode which has changed and it now seems to do it properly. Thanks for the heads up.
