I recently edited my in laws wedding in vegas 5b which was a vhs capture. The video was dull as expected even after a capture from my canopus advc1394. I used some filters and rendered it after editing it. I burnt the final product on dvd +rw and played it on dvd player. To my surprise I had hit the jackpot with colour, cripsness, sharpness whatever you wanna call it. The video looked excellent. The only problem is after conversion I has deleted the video.avi. Now I dont remember which setting I used. I have the project .VEG file but how do I find out what settings I used.
    thanks

Easy....Open Vegas and select your project file (**.veg). Since Vegas won't find the media for the selected project (because you have deleted the original file), it will ask you for searching the media. Select <ignore missing files and leave them offline>. You'll see a dark stripe on the timeline showing the place where the deleted file (s) should be. Now look at the end of that stripe, on the right. It has 2 buttons there. The white square, above, is for Event Pan/Crop. Leave it the way it is. You'll want the green one, so please hit this green button. It's for Event/FX. A screen will pop-up showing a plug-in chain with all the plug-ins that have been used for the project - if you've really used them. On the other hand if you mean the compressor options.....I guess you'll have to try to find out the best settings all over again...
