    Hi

    I need a really good software to remaster and restore an audio file, Im searching too for some kind of software that simulates dolby 5.1 surround or a similar system. Any information or links will be welcome.

    Final Cut Pro is a standard in the industry

    sony vegas is great at surround sound mixing

    Steinberg Nuendo

    Cakewalk SONAR

    Sony ACID Pro

    Magix Samplitude

    all of the above apps are good in their own way ... between hardware and software -- expect to spend (not including a pc or mac) 700$ to 4000$
