  1. Newbie here. I had been using wireless headphones with independent volume control on them hooked up to the audio outputs. They quit on me, so I am now trying to use normal wired headphones that have no volume control to watch a DVD, but can't figure out a way to adjust the volume. I've increased the input level to +6dB, which helps a little, bit not enough. Have limited outputs on the tv, so that does not appear to be an option. Trying to work it so others can listen to audio normally thru TV speakers, but at the same time I am using the headphones to listen to the same DVD, as I have some hearing difficulties.

I'd purchase a small audio amplifier for the headphones. The line input to the amplifier would be connected to the line output on the back of the Pioneer. If necessary, you could even use Y cables to split the audio to a second device. You should be able to find a suitable audio amplifer at Radio Shack, Best Buy, Frey's, etc.

    Good Luck!
