I am using the demo of Womble MPEG Video Wizard to see if it meets my MPEG cutting and joining needs. I have read through the manual.
One of the things that I often need to do is fix a "chewed" section of tape capture by overlaying a clean still over the few seconds of garbled video without touching the audio. Is there an easy way to do this in Womble without demuxing and potentially messing up the audio sync?
I tried dropping a still into the text overlay track on the timeline, but it did not accept it.

Nevermind...
You can, in fact, drag images onto the Title Track.
The problem was between the seat and the keyboard.
